Llano County Municipal Utility District No. 1 (the “District”) has owned and maintained the roads in the District since 1987 when the Llano County Commissioners Court determined that it no longer had an interest in the ownership and maintenance of the roads in Blue Lake Estates because the District’s enabling legislation gave those rights to the District.  Pursuant to this authority, the District has owned and maintained these roads ever since.

The paving on Blue Lake Drive and West Bluebonnet Road was completed in 2011. July 2014 the intersection of Bluebonnet Road and Packsaddle Drive extending to the intersection of Packsaddle Drive and Sandy Lane was completed. The final 4 1/2 miles of the road rehabilitation project completed in July 2016 and reclaimed up to 7 feet of road pavement (now 21 feet wide in most areas) and improved the drainage system significantly.
