Blue Lake’s sewer system was installed in 1996 with financing from forty-year bonds and grants. The design of the system utilizes grinder pumps at each residence with lift pumping stations at various points in the collection system. The sewer water is then pumped by the final lift station to the sewer plant at Highway 71 owned by the city of Horseshoe Bay. After treatment, the non-potable water is pumped back to Blue Lake and Horseshoe Bay for golf course irrigation. Our sewer customers include Blue Lake, Deer Haven, Sandy Harbor, and disposal only at The Trails.
